Internally designated Type 1J, it rides on the Volkswagen A4 (PQ34) platform. The car’s styling differed little from the concept.

The transversly placed 3.2 liter 24-valve VR6 utilizes a very sophisticated chain drive mechanism to rev all the way up to 6700rpm. The engine is equipped with 282cc/min fuel injectors operating at a fuel pressure of 4 bar. The factory installed 2.5" exhaust system with catalytic converter is a major restriction.

AutoSpeed offers 2 solutions for Stage 1 customers.

Stage[1] - Stock Hardware

Stage[2Plus] - Cams and Performance Exhaust

Stage[1] consists of a software upgrade only, no additional parts are required. The software is calibrated to maximize performance while operating within the stock fuel injectors' flowrates.

Tune Specifics:

Rev limiter set to 7000rpm, Speed limiter removed, Remapped Electronic Throttle Body.

Stage[2] software requires a hardware upgrade consisting of an ASP exhaust system and cams (not included in price). The additional flow provides less back pressure and allows for better breathing. The software is calibrated to maximize performance while operating within the stock fuel injectors' flowrates.

*Race mode requires a minimum octane rating of 104 [R+M]/2. Running less than 104 may result in severe engine damage
